Good afternoon friends-

I hope this post finds you all doing exceptionally well today. Here in the Midwest we are experiencing a warmer than average fall with temperatures hovering in the 60’s and 70’s. Our hearts go out to our friends in the Northeastern United States, though, and we strongly encourage everyone to donate a little to the Red Cross (https://www.redcross.org/donate/index.jsp?donateStep=2&itemId=prod10002) to help those in need.

We got some exciting news last week and I’d like to take a quick minute to share some things with you all.

A couple of months ago we contracted with a cellular research lab in Oregon, NIS Labs, to conduct a series of studies with the goal of figuring out exactly what Willard Water is doing on the cellular level. We have known for many decades that Willard Water appears to be enhancing cellular absorption and retention, but all of the studies were primarily cause and effect examinations which left many questions on how the Water is actually working. For example, we know that adding Water to one’s vitamin supplement routine significantly reduces the amount of vitamins being flushed out in the urine and feces, a phenomenon we’ve historically attributed to increased cellular absorption and retention, but we’ve never been able to explain exactly what’s happening. It is my hope that this series of studies eventually helps us to definitively answer those questions.

Last week we received the completed report on the first study in this series and the results are very exciting as they definitively prove that Willard Water is enhancing cellular absorption and retention. NIS’ report on the study they conducted can be viewed on our webpage by clicking HERE. I strongly encourage you to give it a thorough review as it provides some great insight on how Willard Water is positively affecting nutrient absorption and utilization at the cellular level. Some highlights of the study include:

1) This study only examined the effects of the CLEAR product. I chose this one because it has no trace minerals and therefore any effects could only be attributed to the Willard Water catalyst. All three products have the catalyst in them so this should be interpreted as a study that validates all of them.

2) The study sought to measure the relative increase in absorption rates of six ingredients/solutions. These tests were not randomly chosen as the ingredients represent different levels of natural cellular absorption. Two of the ingredients are generally considered to be easily absorbed, two are slightly more difficult ,and two are generally considered to be extremely tough to absorb that more often than not require additional delivery solutions to ensure absorption.

3) Willard Water increased absorption rates in five of the six test ingredients with the one exception being the Vitamin B test. However, Dr. Jensen, the person conducting the study, said there was clearly something wrong with their B Vitamin solution and that it was not absorbed by the cells in any of the tests, including the control group, so she considers this to be a 100% successful study despite the B Vitamin problems.

4) The effects of the Willard Water are most apparent in those solutions that are typically extremely difficult to absorb. In fact, the delivery system Dr. Jensen used as the control in to deliver the two ingredients tocotrienal and turmeric are the best known delivery systems currently on the market for those two products and Willard Water blew both of them away.

5) Willard Water is not behaving as a free radical scavenger as was previously thought. Rather, it’s causing the cells to better absorb and utilize antioxidant solutions thus increasing their overall effectiveness. Interestingly enough, this phenomenon can be most clearly seen in the failed B Vitamin samples as the addition of Willard Water significantly reduced the oxidative effect of the “bad” solution.

6) The dilution amount are quite striking as Willard Water appears to be most effective at the lowest dilution amounts of 1:25,000. Dr. Jensen thinks this fits nicely with our current diluting directions as the amount that actually gets to the cells in the body is probably fairly diluted as well.

While this study was a great validator, many questions about how Willard Water is actually delivering these nutrients to the cells remain to be answered. We’re already in the process of designing the protocols for the next study and hope to have those results within the next couple of months. In the meantime remember that it’s cold and flu season so keep drinking your Willard Water to ensure that the nutrients you’re ingesting are fully absorbed and utilized! We often run specials through Facebook and on our website at drwillard.com so make sure you keep checking back to take advantage of our great deals!

Thank you all for your continued support of Willard Water.

Best wishes to all of you!

John Willard, III

Dear Friends,

I hope this missive finds you all doing well, staying healthy, and enjoying life!

I’m writing to inform you of a slight change to the diluting directions contained on the Willard Water CLEAR bottles. We were recently advised by our attorneys that the ¼ teaspoon per ounce we currently recommend for diluting might not satisfy federal laws regarding diluting instructions so we decided to be proactive and make a slight change that would bring us better in line with the law. This change obviously requires a bit of explanation and that’s why I’m writing this letter. So here it goes…

When my grandfather first developed Willard Water® he advised users to dilute the CLEAR product at a rate of one ounce per gallon of water. We used these directions as the basis for proper dilution for more than 30 years. Last year, though, we were advised by FDA officials that these directions would no longer suffice as they do not believe a gallon to be an appropriate serving size. This required us to figure out dilution amounts per an 8 oz serving size in a way that would both ensure effectiveness and make it easy for customers to continue using our product. Unfortunately one ounce per gallon does not break down cleanly into an 8 oz serving size which left us with a bit of a decision.

We calculated the appropriate serving size for an 8 oz. glass of water to be between ¼ and ½ teaspoon per 8 oz. serving. We initially decided to use the lower dilution amount as studies have consistently shown Willard Water® to be equally effective at lower dilution amounts, and we felt like this would help our customers stretch their supply of Willard Water® about as far as before. However, our attorneys recently advised us that this lower dilution amount may not suffice because FDA regulation requires maximum dilution amounts whenever there is a discrepancy. As such, we have decided to change the recommended dilution amounts to ½ teaspoon per 8 oz glass of water in order to ensure our instructions fully conform with federal law. Labels reflecting this dilution change have begun entering the distribution system and within a couple months all CLEAR labels will reflect this change.

I sincerely apologize for the confusion this is causing. We really try to do right by our customers while, obviously, conforming to federal regulations. We got it wrong in this instance and I really do feel terrible about the confusion this is going to cause. I hope you’ll bear with us as we work our way through this process.

If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 888-379-4552.

Sincerely,

It’s not easy to define free radicals in a way that makes sense to those of us without a scientific background. Free radicals are defined as atoms or groups of atoms with an odd (unpaired) number of electrons and can be formed when oxygen interacts with certain molecules. Once formed these highly reactive radicals can start a chain reaction, like dominoes. Their chief danger comes from the damage they can do when they react with important cellular components such as DNA, or the cell membrane. Cells may function poorly or die if this occurs. This can damage your cells, organs, and contribute to disease and declining health. Because our bodies are continuously exposed to free radicals from external sources such as sunlight, radiation, pollution and toxins, they can often be the common pathway for a number of disease processes. Simply put, this can hasten the process of ageing such as wrinkles, dry skin, disabilities and diminished immunity to infections.

Normally, the body can handle free radicals, but if antioxidants are unavailable, or if the free-radical production becomes excessive, cellular damage can occur. Of particular importance is that free radical damage accumulates with age. Antioxidant is the name given to a whole host of foods and products that serve to collect, or scavenge, the excessive free radicals that cause damage to cells. The benefits of antioxidants are that they help to solve the problems listed above by mopping up the free radicals in the system. They are nature’s perfect clean-up tools. While it’s ideal to get the antioxidants we need from our normal diet, industrial farming techniques have decimated our soil and depleted the nutrients in our food.

This is where the importance of drinking Willard Water comes into play. As the testing done by the University of Washington shows, imply adding ¼ teaspoon of Willard Water to three glasses of water per day can significantly enhance our bodies’ ability to remove these harmful free radicals. Removing these free radicals in turn has been linked to a whole host of health benefits from better aging, to reduced incidence of disease to more energy. The more scientists learn about free radicals the more they link degenerative diseases to them.

So when your friends and family ask why you drink Willard Water, tell them it’s because you care about your good health. If you’d like to read the University of Washington study to learn more about the role Willard Water plays in free radical scavenging, you can find it on our website here.

Good morning friends, we sincerely hope this e-mail finds you all doing wonderful and enjoying life!

We’re very happy to roll out yet another scientific study that outlines the amazing benefits of drinking Willard Water® daily. This latest study, conducted by Dr. Hildegarde Staninger and entitled “An Examination of Willard Water’s Impact on Vitamin Efficacy,” conclusively shows that drinking Willard Water® significantly improves the absorption rates of multiple vitamin supplements including Vitamin D, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin B6.

The three month study sought to measure the impact of both Willard Water® Dark XXX and Willard Water® CLEAR on the absorption rates of various vitamins in human subjects and also sought to determine whether there is a measurable difference between Willard Water’s effects on fat soluble vs. water soluble vitamins. Subjects underwent initial tests to determine the current absorption rates of vitamins in their bodies and then were instructed to drink Willard Water® for a period of thirty days. After a month of drinking Willard Water® the study participants were again tested and vitamin content was measured. According to Dr. Staninger, “Willard Water® significantly improved the efficacy of multiple vitamin absorption rates. All study participants showed significant improvement by drinking Willard Water® over the 30 day period.”

Dr. Staninger observed that Willard Water® was effective in increasing absorption rates of fat soluble vitamins such as Vitamins E and K. However, Staninger also found it to be far more effective on water soluble vitamins such as those in the B complex group. “…the collective specimen pool of individuals showed significant improvement due to Willard Water’s micelle reactive properties, which allows molecules to become smaller and more effective in the reaction with other molecules opposing charges,” Staninger continued. “It was also observed that the vitamins that were “hydrogen” reactive, reacted significantly better with Willard Water®.”

We’re very pleased to see this study continues a long line of evidence validating the remarkable absorption effects drinking Willard Water® has on our bodies. Nutrients and vitamins that are ingested but not fully absorbed are of no nutritional value and scientists have only recently begun to fully understand the importance of maximizing bioavailability in our bodies. Studies like this show that Willard Water® can play a key role in expanding bioavailability and ensuring that our bodies derive the maximum benefits of the food we eat and the supplements we take.

We’re continually amazed by Dr Willard’s wonderful invention and we hope you are too! If you’d like to read the full text of the study authorized by Dr. Staninger it’s available on our website here.

Dr. Willard Speaks

The Role of Willard Water® in Living Beings

Water is not only the largest single constituent of nearly all living plants and animal tissues, but it also performs exceedingly important functions. The most active parts of plants and animals contain much water, thus growing plants usually have 70 to 80 percent of water and in animals the muscles and internal organs contain 75% or more.

Among the functions performed by water in plants and animals are the following:

The various nutrients can be carried from one part of the plant, or animal, or human to another part only as they are dissolved in water or held in watery suspension in the sap of the plant or the blood of the human or animal.

Water has the property of chemically reacting with many types of chemical compounds and the life process could not take place without it. For example, the digestion of food consists primarily of the breaking apart of complex food substances into much simpler ones, water being added to these simpler compounds as they’re being formed.

Water enables living plants and animals to hold their shape. This is done by the watery solutions inside the cells filling them so full that they are distended.

Water is important in controlling the temperature of plants and animals. Because of the high heat of vaporization of water (540 calories per gram), the evaporation of water is one of the most important means by which warm blooded animals keep their body temperature constant. Also, water has a higher heat capacity than most substances. A certain amount of heat thereby produces less increase in temperature of plants and animals than it would if these tissues were less watery.

The unique catalyst in Willard Water® is a polysilicate polymer containing calcium, magnesium, aluminum, sodium, and hydroxyl groups which can be compared to the hydro-amphiboles. The catalyst has the property of altering the structure of water in the presence of carbonaceous or siliceous materials.

The common form of liquid water is a highly structured substance. Through hydrogen bonding each water molecule, beneath the surface, is bonded to four other molecules of water and ad infinitum. For water to take part in the various chemical reactions necessary to life processes, it is necessary to break the many bonds holding the molecules of water. My patented catalyst (in Willard Water®) alters the structure of liquid water producing a significant amount of a laminated structure where the molecules are oriented in a linear type of bonding. Therefore water in this form (altered by Willard Water®) has drastically different properties than the common form.

A comparable example would be the difference between diamonds and graphite, both of which are comprised of carbon. Carbon in the diamond form is the hardest naturally occurring substance. It is a non-conductor of heat and electricity and can enter into a chemical reaction only at very high temperatures. The diamond has a very highly structured three-dimensional form of bonding. In contrast, carbon in the graphite form has a layered structure rather than the three-dimensional type. As a result of this different structure graphite is very soft, a good conductor of electricity and enters into many chemical reactions. Just like the changes to the carbon produce different forms such as diamonds and graphite, the addition of the Willard Water® catalyst alters the structure of ordinary water making it much more reactive.

The unique properties of Willard Water ® are the result of action of our patented catalyst which significantly alter the molecular arrangement of the liquid water. All the evidence that we have indicates that this new form of water altered by Willard Water® creates chains of polarized water molecules that radiate out from the colloidal. The “new” water in these chains can penetrate openings that the molecules of “normal” water cannot. The water molecules in this newly created chain would also be less stable (contain higher energy content) than normal water. The Willard Water® thus is more reactive and behave “better” than normal water. This means that the new optimized water in the body performs basic functions at a much higher level. The body processes particles better, moves platelets to the affected areas faster and cells absorb and expel toxins better.

As we all bake in this summer’s oppressive heat it’s extremely important to stay well hydrated at all times. 75% of our bodies’ weight is comprised of water and that water is distributed in different compartments throughout the body. Lean muscle tissue contains about 75% water, blood contains 83%, body fat contains 25%, and bone is 22% water. It’s safe to say that every single bodily function requires water to effectively perform and that’s why adequate hydration is so essential to maintaining good health.

But how do we ensure we’re getting enough water. For starters medicine.net (http://www.medicinenet.com/dehydration/article.htm) provides a great chart to help you track how many ounces of water your body will likely need on a daily basis. In hot weather like this, though, it’s also important to keep in mind that you’re likely losing more water through sweat so it’s always better to err on the side of caution and drink more water. Another great way to ensure hydration is by making sure you’re adding Willard Water to your drinks.

In fact, one of the very first experiments Dr. Willard performed with his newly invented Willard Water involved hydration. As a professor of chemistry at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Dr. Willard had a readily available supply of test subjects in his students and they were always willing to work with him on his studies. Even today, we’re constantly hearing from Dr. Willard’s former students regarding those “early days” of Willard Water development and the studies he did on hydration were apparently very popular. What Dr. Willard and his students found in these studies is that the Willard Water not only helps the body deliver nutrients, minerals and electrolytes throughout the body but it also helps the cells absorb, and retain, that much needed water. Subsequent studies on both plants and animals indicated that the Willard Water actually works BETTER under more extreme heat and dehydration conditions.

So, if you’re worried about hydration in the dog days of summer, remember to add some Willard Water to your daily routine. It will help keep you well hydrated and healthy as your body struggles to keep up with these record temperatures. As an added incentive, use the coupon code hot2011 on our website at drwillard.com or when calling us at 888-379-4552 and you’ll get 25% off your entire order.

Stay safe and enjoy!

Silica, or silicon, is the most abundant element on Earth, after oxygen. Most people know a little something about silicon and how it’s used in our everyday lives such as in computer chips and some forms of breast implants. But few of us would consider that silicon is something our bodies actually need to be healthy.

For example, our bodies use silicon, along with calcium, to grow and maintain strong bones. It is also an important anti-aging nutrient and a major player in preventing osteoporosis. Silica is responsible for cross-linking collagen strands which contributes to the strength, integrity, and flexibility of connective tissues such as those found in skin, bones, nails, and arteries. Silicon is also important for the growth of hair, skin and fingernails.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, research at the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Research Center (GFHNRC) has shown that low dietary silicon decreases the bone and blood concentrations of substances that stimulate cells to form joint and bone cartilage and initiate bone calcification in experimental animals. Low dietary silicon also has been shown by the GFHNRC to increase the excretion of products resulting from collagen and bone breakdown and loss, which are used as markers of osteoporosis risk. The recent research confirms that silicon stimulates the formation of collagen, a protein that gives bones their strength and flexibility, joint cartilage its cushioning ability, and a scaffold upon which bone mineralization occurs.

USDA also says that scientists at King’s College and St. Thomas’ hospital in London, England in collaboration with scientists from Harvard and Tufts Universities in the United States have reported that there is a “significant positive association” between the density of bone and silicon intake in men and in premenopausal women. In addition, scientists at the University of Mons-Hainaut in Belgium have found that silicon is an essential component in bioactive glasses or materials used as bone substitutes upon which new bone can grow in humans with serious bone injury.

Unfortunately our soil is deficient in silica, and therefore our diet is also somewhat deficient in silica. Although evidence is accumulating that shows an inadequate intake of silicon may contribute to the risk of osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, very little is known about its requirement. According to USDA, a daily intake of 5 to 10 mg of highly absorbable silicon probably will be found adequate. However, not all food silicon is highly absorbable so USDA recommends a higher intake than this in order to reach desired absorption levels.

This is another great reason to make Willard Water a part of your regular vitamin supplement regimen. Silicon is one of the more abundant trace minerals found in Willard Water and Dr. Willard’s patented catalyst will help our bodies more efficiently absorb this silicon. While scientists still have a great deal more to learn about silicon, it’s safe to say that everyone needs more and Willard Water can help our bodies get it.
